What are the google ads campaign types?

Google Ads is a pay-per-click (PPC) advertising platform. It helps businesses reach potential customers who are searching for their products and services. It’s also known as Google Ads, and it’s one of the most popular ways to advertise online.

The main benefit of using Google Ads is that you can target people who are actively looking for what you sell. So, if you run an ecommerce store or offer services such as plumbers or electricians, it makes sense that these would be good keywords for your campaign. But, What are the Google Ads campaign types?

What are the key terms?

Google Ads are the ads that show up in Google search results. They’re also called display ads, and they can be either text or image-based. Google Ads are paid ads, meaning you have to pay for them to appear on your site.

The terms “Google Ads” and “Display Ads” are used interchangeably because they both refer to the same thing: an ad unit created by a publisher (you!) that appears on their website(s) and gets served through the Google Display Network (and potentially other networks). But, what are the key terms?
Campaign goal:
They are the high-level business objectives you’re trying to achieve via Google advertising. They include sales, leads, web traffic, brand awareness, product/brand consideration, and app promotion.

Campaign type:
The Campaign Type determines the strategy you’ll use to execute your campaign goal. For example, you might run a Shopping campaign to generate sales for your ecommerce company.

Ad type:
An ad type is a specific format of AdWords ads that are available to you based on the campaign type and goal you choose. Ad types help you tailor your ads to match your business goals, the audience you’re targeting, and the products or services you have to offer.

Google ads typically show up in two places

  • Search results. When you search for something on Google, the top of your screen will show a list of related terms and websites that have paid to appear there. These are called sponsored links or ads, and they’re designed to catch your eye as you’re searching for information.
  • Display network. This refers to any website that displays ads from Google’s AdSense program (more about this later).

Different types of Google ads campaigns

There are nine types of Google Ads campaigns:

Search

These campaigns are the best option for businesses that have a high volume of traffic coming from organic searches. They’re also useful for businesses that have high-quality products or services. Yet, don’t have enough time in the day to manage their digital marketing efforts.

Google Ads search campaigns are one of the most affordable options available, but they do require some effort on your part. You’ll need to create an account with Google and set up your campaign. Then you’ll need to set up your landing page or website so it can be tracked for performance metrics like click-through rates (CTR).

Display

Google Ads display campaign is another type of campaign. It allows you to use Google’s remarketing technology to target customers who visited your website. It’s easy to set up, and it can be more cost-effective than other forms of online advertising.

Shopping

Google Ads shopping campaign type is a campaign that helps you to advertise your products on Google. It is an advertising platform that has been developed specifically for e-commerce websites. It allows you to create ads that are highly targeted and relevant.
